Martellato Srl was the brainchild of its founder many years before its enlistment at the Chamber of Commerce and the Company Register. Its name and what it has become today are due to one person, Nereo Martellato, father of Alessandro, the current managing director of the company. Nereo was deeply attached to the world of pastry and baking. He appreciated the effort of waking up early in the morning and the passion he felt when he spoke with a pastry chef or a baker.
Not only cake and chocolate molds: every product he invented was born from a need that arose in a pastry-shop, while chatting to a baker or from glancing into a work-room. This was how Nereo realised that professionals needed a wider range of equipment, which was fairly limited in the 70s.
Initially, the company focused on solutions for pastry and ice-cream makers, to later take care of those involved in catering in the 90s, and then to ride the wave of cake design in the 2000s. Today, the product range also appeals to the fans of homemade pastry and the professionals in the Horeca sector.
